经过漫长的等待，俺终于定好了去Great Smoky Mountain的时间！

出发：4.18日下午4点 From Columbus OH

返回：4.20日下午4-6点

 

初步决定18日晚宿与公园外motel（初步定在Maryville镇，公园内住宿要提前一年预订，而且不通汽车，要hiking 8 miles。），19日hiking至一backcountry campsite或开车转公园一圈后宿于frontcountry campsite，20日粗略游览之后回家。Camping用品，比如帐篷，睡袋，炉子可以在OSU ARC租到。

 

 第一日行车路线：

 

hiking初步设想：开车至Cades Cove, Anthony Creek Trail，于早晨10点向Spence Field方向前进，如果到达Spence Field天色尚早，继续沿Appalachian Trail前进至Smoky Mountain第二高峰Thunderhead Mountain。之后原路返回，宿9号营地，第二天（周日）上午回到停车处。全程往返（包括去Thunderhead）14 miles，第一天11miles，第二天3miles，如放弃Thunderhead则第一天可减少3miles距离。9号营地需要预订，如果大家同意我将打电话预定。此段hiking的强度为中到强，我们大好青年应该没问题吧！
